Make Sure The Cooling System Is In Top Shape

If you've lived in Southern Florida for at least a year, you know how hot it can get in the summer months. So, make sure that your vehicle does not overheat by ensuring that your vehicle has enough coolant. We recommend that you check your coolant level before you go on any road trip. Also, check for any coolant leaks under your vehicle. A coolant leak will appear as a lime green, orange or pinkish puddle.

Inspect the A/C System

You also want to make sure that your vehicle's air conditioner is working properly. Check your vehicle's A/C vents to ensure that you are getting cold air throughout the cabin. Also, check to see if your vehicle's cabin air filter is clean. A dirty cabin air filter can restrict airflow into the vehicle's cabin.

Perform A Complete Tire Inspection

Since your vehicle's tires are in constant contact with the road, you'll want to make sure that all four tires are still in good shape. Be sure that all four tires have the proper amount of tread. Each tire should have no less than 1/16th of an inch of tread depth remaining. Next, be sure to check the tire pressure of each tire. Finally, check for any cracks on the sidewall.

Make Sure Your Vehicle's Lights Are Working

Your vehicle's lights are important because they will allow you to see at night or during challenging weather. Also, proper working lights allow other drivers to see you. Check that your vehicle's headlights, taillights, and fog lights are working properly.

Check Your Critical Engine Parts

Make sure that your vehicle's engine parts are in working order. That includes your vehicle's spark plugs, engine filter, oil levels, and other critical components.

Check Your Vehicle's Battery

Finally, check to see if your battery can provide an excellent charge. Signs of a weak battery include dim lights and a clicking sound when starting up the vehicle. Also, check for any signs of corrosion on the battery connectors.
